Double-track Single-cab Reciprocating Cableway

The bi-cable tramway adopts a structure of two carrying cables plus one hauling cable; the gondola runs back and forth between the two end stations, featuring strong wind resistance, large spans and excellent climbing capability. It is the first of its kind developed in China, especially suited to extreme terrain such as canyons and rivers, and applicable to scenarios with large spans, strong winds and heavy-load requirements.

This category comprises three sub-categories. The single-car bi-cable tramway runs a single large-capacity car back and forth, with a capacity of 30–45 persons and a maximum speed of 10.0 m/s, able to span distances of over 1,000 m. The multi-car bi-cable tramway runs several cars grouped and moving back and forth in sync (typically 15 persons per car × 3 cars per group), used to increase one-way capacity, with a maximum speed of 8.0 m/s and a capacity of up to 900 persons per hour. The heavy-load tramway for special terrain is custom-built for special terrain such as river crossings, deep valleys, cliffs, and large elevation differences, high altitude and strong-wind zones; it uses a heavy-load car of 45+1 persons, with a maximum speed of 8.0 m/s and the ability to handle elevation differences of over 500 m.
