We offer a comprehensive range of aerial ropeway systems tailored to diverse terrain and capacity requirements, including:
• Monocable Circulating Detachable Grip Ropeway: high-speed line operation with low-speed boarding/alighting inside stations, maximum speed 6.0 m/s, capacity up to 2,400 pph (persons per hour);
• Bicable Reversible Jig-Back Ropeway: superior wind resistance and long spans, ideal for extreme terrain such as gorges and river crossings;
• Monocable Circulating Pulse Ropeway: operates in grouped trains, balancing capacity and construction cost, suitable for small to medium-sized scenic areas;
• Monocable Circulating Fixed Grip Ropeway: minimalist structure, low cost, high reliability, the most widely deployed type in China;
• Funicular Railway: rigid track with steel rope traction, excellent adaptability to steep slopes, snow, and icy conditions.
Can the ropeway system operate in severe weather conditions?
Our equipment is generally adapted to rain and snow conditions. Light rain does not affect normal operation; however, operation is not recommended during heavy rain or torrential downpours. For winter ice prevention, electric de-icing devices can be equipped to address track icing issues. Both the departure and arrival stations are fitted with anemometers; operations will be suspended when wind speed exceeds safety thresholds to ensure passenger safety.
What safety protection measures does the equipment have?
We place the highest priority on equipment safety. Our safety protection system includes:
• Mechanical Safety: anti-detachment system, mechanical safety-type tensioning system, safety limit switches;
• Electrical Protection: overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, overload protection, emergency stop protection;
• Operational Protection: rope derailment protection along the line, rope break protection, automatic shutdown upon rope detachment fault;
• Structural Safety: steel structures of the drive station and return station are designed with load capacity exceeding full-load requirements; intermediate tower spacing does not exceed 10 m, equipped with multi-sheave support and hold-down assemblies.
What is the design service life of the ropeway and cable car?
The standard design service life for special equipment is 12–15 years. If the client requires an extended life of 15–20 years, custom design is available at additional cost. Reference design life for key components:
• Steel structural columns/towers: 12–15 years
• Steel wire ropes (track ropes/haul ropes): 4 years (requires periodic inspection and replacement)
• Drive sheaves/pulleys: 5 years (replaced based on wear condition)
Can you customize the ropeway system to suit our terrain and requirements?
Yes. We provide customized solutions with bespoke design based on the client's terrain conditions, capacity requirements, and climate characteristics. We have extensive experience in complex terrain projects, including large elevation differences, river and bay crossings, angle stations, and retrofit/upgrade of aging installations. Our customization process covers the full lifecycle: survey and planning, scheme design, manufacturing and installation, commissioning and acceptance, and handover.
What are the maintenance requirements for the equipment?
A complete operation and maintenance manual is provided upon equipment delivery, including detailed inspection requirements:
• Daily Inspection: coating appearance, braking function, restraint devices, electrical interface checks;
• Weekly Inspection: general operational status check;
• Monthly Inspection: coating maintenance, mechanical fastening, brake calibration, electrical maintenance;
• Annual Inspection: coating repair, component replacement, system commissioning, data updates.
The complete equipment is covered by a one-year free warranty (excluding wear parts). Lifetime technical support is provided after the warranty period, with spare parts supplied at cost.
